Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20^th, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Adams. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery in Friendship.

Leta was born on July 19, 1920 in Elroy, Wisconsin to Peter and Mary (Garretey) Thornsen. She married Gerald Coles on May 29, 1939 in Elroy, Wisconsin. They made their home in Adams in the early 1950’s. They owned and operated the Red Owl Grocery Store until the early 1970’s.

Leta was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic for many years.

Leta was preceded in death by her parents and husband (Gerald – 1993).
