Mary Ford, age 94 of Arkdale, WI died Friday, February 20, 2004 at Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston, WI.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27^th, 2004 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship, WI. Rev. T. Christian Nelson will officiate. Inurnment will be at Dellwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Roseberry’s.

Mary was born on September 16^th, 1909 in the Town of Lukin, Lawrence County, IL the daughter of Charles and Kate (Stone) Corrie. She married Abner G. Ford on November 20^th, 1933 in Birds, IL and later moved to Chicago were retired and moved to Adams County area in the early 1960’s. Mary was a teacher and taught elementary country school 1^st through 8^th grades at the Frogeye elementary school, Lawrence County, IL. Mary received her teaching degree from Southern Illinois State Teachers College.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband (Abner – 1999 also at the age of 94); brothers (Linder and Vergal).

Grandson: Dennis C. Ford Jr. – Wisconsin Dells, WI

Granddaughter: Mary Lee Ann Polka – Custer Park, IL

Great-Granddaughter: Miranda and Casey Lynn Polka
