Dale
D. Quinnell, age 78, of Friendship, WI died Sunday, February
22nd, 2004 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital
following a sudden heart attack.Funeral service will be
11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27th, 2004 at the
Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Ronald Hanson will
officiate. Burial will follow at the Mt. Repose Cemetery.
Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279;
the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand
Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be at the church on the day of the
service from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Dale was born March 27, 1925 in Easton Township (Adams
County), Wisconsin to Earl and Theda Iona (Powers) Quinnell.
He graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1943. Dale
was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Navy in the South
Pacific Theater of Operations. Upon his return to Wisconsin,
he worked for Preway Inc. of Wisconsin Rapids. Dale married
Edith Lorraine Olson on January 25, 1948 at the Adams
Congregational Parsonage. He began dairy farming in 1950,
and continued until 1990. Dale also owned and operated
Quinnell Vault Co. from 1958 to 1993 when he sold his
business to his son.
Dale enjoyed the outdoors, watching sports especially
football and baseball, antiquing, playing cards, reading
Louis LaMour books, and spending time with his family.
Dale was a member of Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, the
AF VFW Post#6279, and Ag Price.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
