William
R. Kilbey, age 68 of Rome, WI died on Wednesday, January 14th,
2004 unexpectedly at his home.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January
17th, 2004 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home &
Crematory in Friendship. Pastor Dan Herod will officiate.
Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279;
the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand
Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
William was born February 20, 1935 to Warner and Helen
(Nee Weinitschka) Kilbey in Milwaukee, WI where he grew up
and attended school. Bill served in the Army during the
Korean Conflict. He married Sandra J. Fritz on February 22,
1958 in Milwaukee. This marriage was blessed with six
wonderful children. Bill worked as a painter in Milwaukee
(Local Painter Union # 781) for 40 years. He moved to Adams
County in 1976 where he and his wife owned and operated
Kilbey’s Kitchen in the town of Big Flats. He retired and
moved to Lake Sherwood in the town of Rome. Bill was a
member of Lake Sherwood Property Owners Association and the
American Legion. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and
boating, visiting with family and friends.
Bill was preceded by his parents (Warner and Helen) and
one brother (Milton).

Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in
Friendship, WI on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with a Christian
service at 3:00. Celebration of Bill's life to follow at
Sherwood Lodge, on Hwy 13 and Queensway in town of Rome.
