Cynthia
Jo Baumgartner, age 51, of Baraboo, WI died Wednesday,
January 14th, 2004 at her home following a
courageous battle with cancer.A celebration of life
service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18th,
2004 at the Park Plaza Hotel in Baraboo, WI.
Cynthia was born on July 28, 1952 to Irvin and Marcella
(McGowan) Erickson in Portage, Wisconsin. She grew up in
Verona, WI and loved going to the Wisconsin Dells area to be
near her cousins and family. Cynthia attended Verona High
School, graduated in 1970 and then received a degree in
sociology from UW-Stevens Point in 1975, and later a
Master’s degree from the University of Idaho. Cyndee married
Harvey Baumgartner in 1976 and had two children. She worked
as a counselor for District 241 Schools in Idaho and also as
a drug and alcohol counselor.
Cyndee was an avid drummer, she enjoyed spending time
with her family, animals that crossed her path, and children
she shared time with. Cyndee was also fond of Native
American culture and traditions.

A memorial fund in Cyndee’s name is being established for
the grandchildren’s college education, donations may be
mailed to Anna Lanman, 532 1st St. Baraboo, WI
53913. Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the
family.
