Frederick was born on February 9, 1910 in Chicago, IL the son of Arther and Maude (Crawford) Gardner. He married Mabel Ruth Daniels on June 22, 1929. She preceded him in death on December 23, 1988. Fred worked as an accountant for the Continental Bank of Chicago. Fred lived in Downers Grove, IL, until retirement, when he moved to Valparaiso, IN. Fred then moved to Adams County in September 21, 2003.
