Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, at Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship. Rev. John Stakes will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date. Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at Roseberry’s.

Herbert was born on July 14, 1932 to Herbert and Selma (Slindee) Gulrud in Wauwatosa, WI. He attended school at Adams Friendship Area Schools graduating in 1954. Herbert married June Reichhoff on July 4, 1953 in Adams, WI. He was self-employed as a mason contractor and farmer for 45 years. He retired in 1999. In his earlier years, he served in the Air Force serving at Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Herbert enjoyed simple pleasures in life, deer hunting, fishing, watching birds, and the family dog "Rocky". He especially enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents; Infant son (Robert); infant granddaughter (Jennifer); and brother (Kenneth).
