RUTH EDNA POLLEX, age 91, of
Friendship, Wisconsin died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the
Villa Pines Living Center following a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 9th,
at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adams. Rev. John Krebs will
officiate. Interment will be in the Mt Repose Cemetery,
Friendship, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m.
until time of service at 11:00.
Ruth was born in Chicago Illinois on July 13, 1912 the
daughter of Albert and Minnie (Nebeck) Tyler. Ruth was one
of four children. She grew up and attended Grade School and
High School in Chicago. Ruth married Walter Cappel on
November 30, 1940 and they lived in Mokena, Illinois for 8
years until they moved in 1948 to their farm in Arkdale.
Their son, Jon was one year old at that time. Walter died in
October 10, 1969. Ruth married Alfred Pollex on October 12,
1974 and they lived in rural Friendship. Alfred died on
November 29, 1998. Ruth was also preceded in death by her
parents, 3 sisters, Hazel Thomsen, Violet Stenstrom, and
Florence Tyler.
