EDWARD
ALFRED MASSEN JR., age 93, of Beloit, Wisconsin died
Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the Beloit Health & Rehab Center
in Beloit, WI.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Trinity Lutheran Church
in Arkdale, Wisconsin. The Rev. Ronald Hanson will
officiate. Interment will be in the East Arkdale Cemetery,
Arkdale, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.
until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran
Church.
Edward was born July 24, 1910 in South Beloit, IL to
Edward and Georgia Ann (Brown) Massen. He married Evelyn B.
Husome on Feb. 8, 1930 in Rockton, IL. Ed attended high
school in So. Beloit. He worked as a papermaker at the
Beloit Boxboard Co., where he was a foreman for many years.
He was was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of
Arkdale, WI., where he served on the church council as
trustee. Ed was a handyman and made and repaired many things
at church, and for family, and neighbors.
Edward enjoyed fishing, hand tying fly-fishing lures,
hunting, carpentry, gardening, and being a foster parent.
Preceded in death by his parents, Wife (Evelyn - August
20, 1980); son (Donald-1999); 2
infant sons; sister (Phyllis Small); brother (Frederick) and
a granddaughter (Teresa Lynn Falk).

A memorial fund is being established in the celebration
of Ed’s Life and abiding faith in Christ his Lord and
Savior.
