David
Popp, age 87 of Nekoosa, WI died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at
St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI.Funeral Service
will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8th,
at Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship. Rev.
Harley Hansel will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt.
Repose Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until
time of service at Roseberry’s.
David was born on July 19, 1916 to John and Katherine (Fitzel)
Popp in Iowa. He married Velletah Wallace on August 12, 1957
in Waukau, WI. David retired as a head chipper from Nekoosa
Edwards in 1979.
David enjoyed playing Canasta, keeping his house and car
spotless, and spending time with his family.
David was preceded in death by his parents; wife
(Velletah - 2003); infant daughter (Sandy Popp); son (James
Lovelace); son (Terry Popp); six brothers; and six sisters.
