Helen Beissert, age 83, of Friendship, WI died Friday, May 14th, 2004 at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship.

Private family services were held.

Helen was born June 14, 1919 in Wolsey, Beadle, South Dakota to Oscar J. and Julia (Peterson) Ringheimer. Helen left home in 1937, taking a job the job of what would today be called a "nanny." She traveled to several states, including Texas, Kentucky, and Illinois where she lived with families, caring for their children. About 1941, she found a job working at the Elgin Watch Factory in Elgin, Illinois. She married William A. Beissert on July 4, 1942 in Elgin, Kane, Illinois. They moved to Friendship, Adams, Wisconsin in 1978.
