Helen M.
Coon, age 79, of Wisconsin Dells, WI died Wednesday,
November 24, 2004 at her home.Funeral service will be
11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27th, 2004 at
the Davis Corner’s Methodist Church. The Pastor Steve Miller
will officiate. Burial will follow at the Davis Corner’s
Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the Church from 4 to
8 p.m.
Helen was born November 6, 1925 in Adams County – the
daughter of William and Anna (Huber) Golz. She married
Harold W. Coon on October 1, 1949 in Wisconsin Dells, WI.
Helen worked for the Wisconsin Dells Events as a secretary
for 32 years. She then worked at St. Vincent DePaul’s
Society for the last seven years.
Helen was a Secretary of the Bowling League for 50 years.
She enjoyed playing golf, watching baseball, and was an avid
Packer fan. Helen also enjoyed trips out West with her
Husband and Grandchildren.
Helen was a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies
Auxiliary Wisconsin Dells Post #187. Harold and Helen are
members of the Dells-Delton United Methodist Church of
Wisconsin Dells, and past members of the Davis Corner’s
Methodist Church where they attended Sunday School as
children.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents William and
Anna (Huber) Golz; brothers (Harvey Golz, Harry Golz,
Orville Golz, Willis Golz and Vearn Golz); Sisters (Jean
Stroede and Lucille Amundson)
