Lee was born on June 2, 1915 to Charles and Iva (Williams) Melvin in West Frankfort, IL. Lee married Lena May Rice in 1942. He worked as a forklift operator at Johnson & Johnson in Chicago, IL for 28 years. Lee was a hard worker and a good provider. He was a loyal and dedicated family man. Lee retired in 1978 and moved to Adams County in 2004 from West Frankfort, IL. After retiring, he enjoyed reading Louis Lamour Westerns, crossword Puzzles, televised baseball and socializing with family and friends. He enjoyed watching Perry Mason, Matlock, Gunsmoke and other westerns on television. He repented and was saved in our Lord’s name in 2003.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter (Margaret Jane Pierce); Son-in-law (Ronald D. Pierce Sr.); Brothers, Sisters and nephews.
