JOAN
ARDITH BRANSS, age 71, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died
Friday, October 29, 2004 at home following a courageous
battle with cancer.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m.
on Monday, November 1st, 2004 at the Roseberry's Funeral
Home & Crematory in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Sam Downey
will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband
Howard at the Townline Cemetery, Town of Springville, Adams
County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be at Roseberry’s on Monday from 11 a.m.
until the time of service.
Joan was born September 25th, 1933 to Arthur
and Margaret (Pittelkau) "Johns" Marshall McCaslin in
Chicago, IL. She married Howard F. Branss on March 12, 1952
in Corinth, Mississippi. They resided in Chicago, IL until
Howard’s retirement in the 1980’s. They moved to their rural
Wisconsin Dells home fulltime in 1989, after being part of
the Dells community since the 1960’s.
Joan retired from Fel-Pro Mfg. of Skokie, IL in 1989; she
continued to work once she moved to Wisconsin to keep active
and social. Joan worked for Ravina Bay Grill and Bar in Lake
Delton for 12 years. She enjoyed her weekly "girls day out"
in Adams with her friend Marge.
Joan was a member of W.O.T.M. (Loyal Order of Moose) of
Mauston; member of the Eastern Star (Friendship/Wisconsin
Dells); Shadow Sisters (Dells Area);
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband
(Howard – 1993); brother (Rodney); and sister (Barbara).
