MAURICE
"Red" FRANZEN, age 86 of Arkdale, Wisconsin died Thursday,
October 14, 2004 at the Villa Pines Living Center in
Friendship, WI .Funeral services will be held at 7:00
p.m. on Tuesday, October 19th at Roseberry’s
Funeral Home in Friendship. Rev. Ronald Hanson will
officiate. Interment will be in the South Arkdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until time of services.
Maurice was born July 3, 1918 in Joliet, Illinois, the
oldest of ten children, to Carl and Esther Franzen. He
served in the Army Air Force during WW-2 stationed in
England. On December 15th, 1945 he married Irene Rolanda
Ince at Christ Church, Wanstead, England. After the War they
settled in Arkdale. He was part of the carpenters union and
help build many of the schools, churches and post offices in
central Wisconsin including the old A-F High School.
He enjoyed reading, auto mechanics, puttering and being
with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and 2
brothers and 4 sisters.
