CELIA
BELLE LEACH, age 84, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed
away Sunday, September 5, 2004 at the St. Clare Hospital in
Baraboo, WI following a heart attack.Funeral services
will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9th,
2004 at the White Creek Congregational Church. Pastor Dwight
Condon will officiate. Interment will be later that day at
4:00 p.m. at the Bethany Cemetery, Irma, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home, 512 Main
St., Friendship, on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on
Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of
service.
Celia was born April 11, 1920 in Irma, Wisconsin to Cecil
and Grace (Cook) Douglas. She was a graduate of the Tomahawk
High School. On September 1, 1943, she was united in
marriage to Zora Leach at Warrington, Florida. While
traveling with her husband, who was in the Navy, she worked
in Civil Service and as a Church Secretary. After his
retirement in 1963, they moved to Wisconsin Dells where they
managed the Catfish Bay Fishing Resort.
Celia was a member of the White Creek Congregation Church
and its Ladies Aid, the Adams County Extension Homemakers,
the Dells Country Quilt Guild, and the Ladies Auxiliary of
the FRA and St. Mary’s Heart Forum.
Celia enjoyed quilting, sewing, cross stitching, rug
making, knitting, and crocheting.
Celia was preceded in death by her parents; husband (Zora
– 1994); brother (George); and two sisters (Harriet and
Irene).
