Harry
A. Polivka, 93, of Adams, died Monday, September 6, 2004 at
Villa Pines Living Center, Friendship, WI.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday,
September 10th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in
Adams, WI. Father James McNamee will officiate. Visitation
will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Roseberry’s
Funeral Home in Friendship.
Harry was born April 28, 1911, the son of Joseph and Mary
(Nagel) Polivka. He worked for the Adams County Highway
Department for years and later was employed as a
construction worker in the La Crosse area. He moved back to
the Adams-Friendship area in 2000 to be closer to his
family. He enjoyed walking and was exercising daily until
shortly before his death.
Surviving are his three children: Duane (Mary) Polivka of
Friendship; Robert (Nancy) Polivka of Grafton; and Darlene
(Frank) Pfeiffer of Richfield; and eight grandchildren;
Michele Parke, John Pfeiffer, Lisa Douglas, Cathy Polivka,
Julie Polivka, Michael Polivka, Debbie Harm and Denise
Polivka; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great
grandchildren; 1 sister, Carol Baron. Harry was preceded in
death by a grandson Daniel, 12 brothers and sisters, one
being his twin brother, Claude.
