 Verna F. Ostby, age 88, of
Arkdale, WI died on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Moundview
Memorial Hospital and Clinic in Friendship.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on
Sunday, April 24th, 2005 at the Arkdale Trinity
Lutheran Church in Arkdale. Rev. Ronald Hanson will
officiate. Final interment will be at the East Arkdale
Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday at the Church
from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Verna was born on November 21, 1916 to
Julius and Emily (Hanson) Johnson in Arkdale, Wisconsin. She
graduated from the Necedah High School in 1935. Verna
married Marvin H. Ostby on April 21, 1954 in Waukon, Iowa.
She helped on the family farm with her husband Marvin, and
then later worked at the Farnum Sealing Systems in Necedah.
Following retirement she enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren, gardening, quilting with the ladies of the
Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, and a member of it’s Ladies
Aid and Circles.
Verna was preceded in death by her
parents; Husband (Marvin – 1982); and Brothers (Clarence and
Elmer).
In lieu flowers, memorials may be given to
the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or the
Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics Foundation.

Granddaughter: Lindsay A. Ostby – Plover, WI
Granddaughter: Erin E. Ostby – Friendship, WI
Grandson: Garrett R. Ostby – Arkdale, WI
