John Henry Foat, age 92, of Oxford, Wisconsin died August 11, 2005 at the Divine Savior Extended Care in Portage, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. The Rev. Sam Downey will officiate. Interment will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be at Roseberry's Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 to the time of service.

John was born April 27, 1913 in Oxford, Wisconsin to John B. Bertha (Wrezinski) Foat. He attended Little Lake School, Davis Corners graduating from 8^th grade at 13 years old. John married Erma Ruby Henningsen on May 16, 1932 in Rockford, Illinois. John did some farming, then moved to Beloit, WI in 1936. He worked at Fairbanks Morse until he retired in 1975. They moved to Oxford, WI in 1977.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; and three sisters, Eda (Clifford) Wohlfert, Doris (Homer) Nelson, and Winnie (George) Empereur.

John enjoyed working in his shop! He did welding and repair work for area farmers. He also welded lawn ornaments from machinery parts and made lamps with his lathe. Many of his creations can be found thru-out the state and other states!!
