 Ronald
Norman LaMont, age 55, of Nekoosa, Wisconsin died Friday,
August 12, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family
following a four year battle with cancer.Funeral services
will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2005 at the
Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment
will be at the New Rome Cemetery, Town of Rome, Wisconsin.
Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279;
the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand
Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Roseberry's
Funeral Home.
Ron was born July 24, 1950 in Edgerton, Wisconsin to
Donald and Phyllis (Decker) LaMont. He graduated from
Adams-Friendship High School in 1969. Ron served proudly in
the United States Army, a veteran of the Vietnam War
1969-71. He married Beverly Sutherland on May 15, 1971 at
the United Church of Christ in Nekoosa, Wisconsin.
Ron and Bev recently celebrated their 34th
anniversary.
Ron worked at Metal Fab for 12 years before working at
the paper mill in Nekoosa for the past 24 years.
Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, being outside,
gardening, cutting wood, baseball, bowling, dancing,
hunting, watching his children and grandchildren play
sports, watching NASCAR races and the Packers.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother
(Terry); father-in-law (Norman Sutherland); and nephew
(Jimmy).
