Russell Louis Marti, age
82, of Arkdale, Wisconsin died Monday, August 1, 2005 at the
Moundview Memorial Extended Care in Friendship ,Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on
Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. The Rev. Kevin Tarvid will officiate.
Interment will be at the Dellwood Cemetery, Town of Strongs
Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be at Roseberry’s on
Wednesday, August 3rd from 4 to 8 p.m.
Russell was born February 26, 1923 in
Frankfort, Illinois to Alvin and Clara (Krusmark) Marti. He
married Sophia Moshure on January 19, 1946 in New Lisbon,
WI. Russell worked for the Adams-Friendship Area School
System, as a bus driver for over 36 years. He was also
employed by the Strongs Prairie Township as a patrolman and
was a retired dairy farmer.
Russell was an avid hunter and fisherman,
who enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, woodworking, and spending
time with family and friends.
Russell was an active member and past
president of the Roche-A-Cri Lions
Russell was preceded in death by his
parents; brother (Alvin Marti); sister (Lorraine
Clementson);and Grandson (Steven Masheimer).
