HARLAN (Mike) JOHN GREINER, age 86 of Friendship, died
Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Villa Pines Living Center
following a long illness.Funeral services will be 1:00
p.m., Thursday, February 24th at Roseberry's
Funeral Home in Friendship. Pastor Steve Polidniak will
officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery,
Galena, Illinois. Calling hours will be at Roseberry’s from
11:00 am on Thursday until time of services at 1:00 p.m.
Harlan was born to eternity at the age of 86 years old.
He was born on August 28, 1918. Harlan was a long
time resident of Beloit, Wisconsin. He married Dorothy
Harwick on January 14, 1941 and had seven children. After
the passing of Dorothy on December 5, 1987, he married
Gladys Poff on August 17, 1988. After her death on December
15, 2000, Harlan moved to Adams county to be near
his family. There he was a resident of Villa Pines Living
Center for nearly the past two years.
Harlan was also preceded in death by 2 sons, William
(Billy) and Albert, 1 daughter, Margie Greiner and one
grandson Frank S. Abbott Jr.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Susan (Frank) Abbott of
Adams, Patricia (Dave) Mattson of Challis, Idaho, son,
Dennis (MaryAnn) Greiner of Rockford, IL, also many
Grandchildren and great grandchildren.
