Donald
Joseph Desotell, 67, Oxford, Wis., died Thursday, Jan. 27,
2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at
Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship. Pastor David Kennedy
will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery in
Friendship. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on
Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Roseberry's.The son of Henry and
Elizabeth Desotell, Donald was born on June 19, 1937 in Red
Lake Falls, Minn. He married Deanna Nichols on July 28,
1956. This marriage was blessed with four children, Deborah,
Diane, Danette and Donald Jr.
His first marriage ended in divorce. Donald then married
Ernestine Ness on Sept. 21, 1972. She died on Sept. 8, 1985.
On May 3, 1986, Donald married Lois Testerman Klatt. She
passed away on March 11, 1998. On October 15, 2002, he
married Jennifer Luke in Wisconsin Rapids.
Donald was a retired welder. He enjoyed spending time
with his family; motorcycles, woodworking and watching the
wildlife near his home. He was a member of St. Joseph's
Catholic Church in Adams. He was preceded in death by his
parents; two wives; one brother, Maurice; a son-in-law,
Michael Mettelmann; and two step-sons, Randy and Richard
Klatt.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jennifer Desotell,
Oxford; three daughters, Deborah (Gary) Gompper, Diane
Mettelmann and Danette (Scott) Stephan; one son, Donald Jr.
(Laurice); 10 grandchildren, Michelle, David, Jennifer,
Jessica, James, Joshua, Jacob, Johnny, Rebecca and Amanda,
all of South Milwaukee.
He is also survived by four step-daughters, Renee (Ken)
Stevens, Adams; Hope (Alan) Roberts, Mesa, Ariz.; Irene
(Mark) Matrick, Westfield; Roseta (Mark) Krueger, Watertown;
one step-son, Randy (Lisa) Thor, Big Flats; 18
step-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
