Charles was born July 05, 1918 in Oxford,
Wisconsin to James and Laura (Hessler) Riley. He grew up and
graduated from Oxford High School. Charles was a veteran of
WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps 54th
Squadron. He was stationed in Aleutian Islands in the
Pacific Theater of War. He married Hazel Warnke July 16,
1945 in Selna, CA. This marriage was blessed with two
children before ending in divorce. Charles owned and
operated the Riley Service Drug Store in Oxford, WI,
beginning in 1946 for over 30 years. He also worked for 15
years before retiring from the Speed Queen in Ripon, WI.
Charles was preceded in death by his
parents; and one sister (Anna Lu).
