David K. Jones, age 62, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Wednesday July 6, 2005 at his home.

Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2005 at the Davis Corners United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve Keller will officiate. Interment will be at the Davis Corners Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Harold B. Larkin American Legion Post 187 of Wisconsin Dells.

Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m.

David was born March 1, 1943 in Davis Corners, Wisconsin to Harold and Bette (Stroede) Coon. He served in the Coast Guard from 1960-1964. David married Janet Walker on June 18, 1966 in Wisconsin Dells, WI. David worked as a general contractor for Coon Brother Construction and Stroede Brothers Construction for many years, an iron worker on the Mesabi Range, Minnesota for 8 years; and returned to Wisconsin Dells area to run his own construction business.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, an avid packer fan, golfing, shooting pool, bowling, collecting coins and stamps, and spending time with his family.

David was preceded in death by step-mother, Helen Coon.
