John
"Jack" Henry Bankes, age 78, of Marshfield, Wisconsin died
November 20, 2005 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield, Wisconsin.Funeral
services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 at
the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. The
Rev. Mark Lafferty will officiate. Interment will be at the
Monroe Center Cemetery, Twp of Monroe, Wisconsin. Military
rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams
American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh
American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be at Roseberry’s on
Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Jack was born July 6, 1927 in Monroe
Center, Wisconsin to Joseph and Jenney (Hobart) Bankes. He
grew and attended school in Adams County. Jack was a veteran
of WWII, serving in the Army. Jack worked in a number of
various farm jobs throughout the years. He also worked at
the Badger Ordinance in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He married Irene
Ruth Davis on February 12, 1972 in Adams, Wisconsin.
Jack enjoyed fishing, bowling, bingo,
spending time with family and grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents,
two brothers (Richard and Albert); two sisters (Hazel Grell
and Catherine Schmoock; one Grandson, (Jimi Gray); and one
Great-grandson (Scott Buck).
