Richard
Carl Holt, age 68, of Friendship, Wisconsin died
unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the University
Of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.Funeral
services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at
the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. The
Rev. Marianne Neufeld will officiate. Interment will be at
the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at
Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Richard was born October 9, 1937 in Kilborn, Wisconsin to
Carl and Janet (Landt) Holt. He married Kathryn Ruth
Obershaw on October 18, 1958 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The
couple moved several times (Chicago, Richland Center,
Milwaukee) before moving to Friendship in 1970, where he was
the Director of Social Services for Adams County.
Richard was a member of the Adams Fire Department for 17
years, the American Cancer Society, the Adams County
Democrat Party, the Salvation Army, Adams County Emergency
Government and an alumni of the University of Wisconsin – La
Crosse.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife
(Kathryn); and daughter (Tamara).
