Bernard John McBride, age 84,
of Muskego, Wisconsin died October 20, 2005 at the Tudor
Oaks Health Center (with Season's Hospice) in Muskego,
Wisconsin.Memorial services will be on Saturday, October
22, 2005 in Muskego, Wisconsin. Interment will be at the Mt.
Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.
Bernard was born October 16, 1921 in Adams, Wisconsin to
Bernard and Hazel (Sleath) McBride. He attended and
graduated from the Adams Grade School in 1935, the
Adams-Friendship High School in 1939, UW-Madison in 1960,
and UW-Milwaukee in 1964. Bernard was a veteran of WWII,
serving in the Navy.
Bernard married Margaret Simons on February 14, 1947 in
Evanston, Illinois. He worked for the Sheboygan County
Welfare Dept. from 1960 to 1965 and the Sheboygan Family
Service Association for 18 years (1960–1983), retiring in
1983.
Bernard enjoyed sailing and reading. He was a former
member of the Adams County Board from 1948 to 1960, and a
lifetime member of the American Legion.
