 Chester
"Chet" Ezburn York, age 70, of Arkdale, Wisconsin died
Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Moundview Memorial
Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin following a
battle with cancer.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on
Monday, October 31, 2005 at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran
Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin. The Rev. Kathryn
Schifferdecker and Rev. Harvey Frye will officiate.
Interment will be at the Monroe Center Cemetery, Wisconsin.
Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279;
the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand
Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Sunday
from 2 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 11 a.m.
until the time of service.
Chester was born June 3, 1935 in Monroe Center, Wisconsin
to the late Irwin and Jessie (Mathews) York. He served in
the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 married Mary Koehler on
September 28, 1957 in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Adams, WI.
Chester was a member of the Roche-A-Cri Lions, Mt. Morris
Insurance Company, the Monroe Center Winter Pals and Jack
Pine Snowmobile Clubs, the Adams County A.S.C.S. Committee,
the Adams VFW Post #6279; and the Adams County Snowmobile
Association.
Chester enjoyed watching ball games, hunting, pontoon
riding, bowling, playing horseshoes, fishing, camping, and
snowmobiling.
Chester was
preceded in death by his parents; sisters (Cleo York, Clara
Green, and Doris Oleson) and one grandson (Devin Last).
