Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. The Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273. Interment will be at the St. Leos Catholic Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be at Roseberry's Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m..

Hubert was born February 17, 1921 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to John J. and Freida F. (Koenecke) Balaine. He was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater of War. Hubert married Romana Magdeline Schneider on July 7, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for many years retiring in 1982.

Hubert enjoyed fishing, pool, trap, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.

Hubert was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the National Rifle Association, American Trap Association, and the Adams VFW Post#6279 and it’s Honor Guard.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; sister (Ruth Brewer); and a niece (Carol Brewer).
