Otto E. Prazma, age 82,
of Adams, Wisconsin died Monday, April 24, 2006 at the
Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship,
Wisconsin.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on
Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will
officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery,
Friendship, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on
Thursday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Otto Edward Prazma was born January 2, 1924 in the
Township of Adams, Adams County, Wisconsin. He was the son
of Czech immigrant parents, Frank and Marie Prazma. Otto was
a lifelong resident of the local area. The past several
years he has resided at Liberty Manor.
Otto attended the one room Flintville Rural School and
was a graduate of the Adams-Friendship High School, the
Waushara County Teachers College where he was the
salutatorian of his class. He received a Bachelor of
Education degree from UW-Stevens Point, and his Master’s
Degree in Elementary Administration at UM-Winona.
He was employed at Badger Ordnance Works and at L. Picus
and Sons Store. Otto taught in several elementary schools in
Adams County- Star Rural and at grade schools in Arkdale and
Grand Marsh. He was on the faculty at Adams Grade School for
thirty-one years, becoming principal there in 1965. Otto was
a dedicated teacher and principal; he enjoyed working with
the boys and girls. He touched many lives during his
thirty-seven years of teaching. He retired in 1986.
Otto was a 50 plus year member of Adams Lodge ZCBJ (now
WFLA – Western Fraternal Life Association), a member of the
both the Wisconsin Retired Education and the Adams County
Retired Education Associations.
Otto was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; and
two sisters.
In lieu of
flowers memorials in Otto’s memory may be directed to the
Adams Friendship Scholarship Fund.
