Leona Martha Brook, age 101, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the Moundview Memorial Extended Care Unit in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the Burlington Cemetery in Burlington, Wisconsin. Pastor Cathy Boadwine will officiate.

Leona was born March 3, 1905 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Herman J. and Ida (Lesten) Schmidt. She married James Edward Brook on September 24, 1924 in Burlington, WI. This marriage was blessed with one daughter. She was a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband Jim retired to Adams County in the late 1970’s.

Leona enjoyed sewing, letter writing, playing bingo and cards.

Leona was a member of the Grand Marsh United Church of Christ.
