Norman
Anton Thrasher, age 87, of Friendship, Wisconsin died
Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Villa Pines Living Center in
Friendship, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25,
2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Interment will be at the South Arkdale Cemetery,
Town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin. Military
rites will be offered at the funeral home by the Adams VFW
Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250;
and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post
#273.
Visitation will be 12 Noon until the time of service on
Friday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Norman was born May 4, 1919 in Adams County, Wisconsin to
Herbert and Josephine (Johnson) Thrasher.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army from 1939
to 1945. Norman married Esther Marie Sparby on October 1,
1941 in Adams, Wisconsin. This marriage was blessed with
three children. The family moved to Milwaukee in the early
1950’s. Norman worked at Reliable Paper Company for many
years. He and his family returned to Adams County in 1968.
Norman then worked as the maintenance manager for the Motel
Sleepers before retiring in 1981.
Norman enjoyed woodworking, playing guitar, and spending
time with his grandchildren and family.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, six
brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors:
