Stanley Fijalkowski, age 84 of Mauston, died Sunday,
December 10, 2006 at home following a long illness with
cancer.
Stanley was born July 13, 1922 in Chetek, Wisconsin the
son of Walter and Minnie (Czyl) Fijalkowski. He graduated
from Mauston High School before serving his country with the
Army Air Corp in World War Two. He served aboard B47�s in
Europe. He married Elizabeth Smart in June of 1946 in
Chicago. He worked in construction as a pipe fitter (local
597).
Stanley was an avid outdoorsman; loved sports and he
especially enjoyed long walks in the woods, his family and
many friends. He never met a good crossword puzzle that he
didn�t like. Any four legged creature that crossed his path
could count on a good meal.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, brothers:
Eddie, Rudy, Pete, and Chester; Sister, Sophie Perrigous;
Step-Daughter, Joan Trout; and niece Georgia Leighton.
