Raymond
Mark Massie, age 95, of Adams, Wisconsin died Wednesday
February 8, 2006 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King,
Wisconsin.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday,
February 12, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. The Pastor Dwight Condon will
officiate. Cremation will follow the traditional service,
with final interment at the White Creek Cemetery. Military
rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams
American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh
American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service on
Sunday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Ray was born February 12, 1910 in Channel Rocks, Missouri
to his mother Pearl Blanch Massie. He was a veteran of WWII
serving the in European Theater of War, serving in the Army.
Ray married Lilly Viola Schultz on August 30, 1941 in
Neillsville, Wisconsin. They lived in Chicago, IL where Ray
worked as a truck driver and later as a maintenance worker
at a high school. Ray retired in 1975 and moved to White
Creek, Wisconsin shortly thereafter.
Ray's poorl health forced him to live at the Tomah VA Nursing
Home for four years. He then moved to the Villa Pines Living
Center in Friendship for one year before spending the last
two years and five months at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in
King, Wisconsin.
Ray enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.
Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, son-in-law
(Jim Primm); grandson-in-law (Nathan Brown).
