Violette G. Lavenu, age 95 of
Wisconsin Dells died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the
Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1st
at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Friendship. Father James
P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will be in St. Leo
Catholic Cemetery, Friendship. Visitation will be on
Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 12 noon until
time of services.
Violette was born June 17, 1910 in Glenmont, Ohio, the daughter of
Ernest and Denise (Vallino) Tornay. She married Raymond
Lavenu on August 3, 1929 in France. Violette worked as a
beautician before they moved to the town of Springville in
Adams County in June of 1974 from Northlake, Illinois. For
years, she worked as a sales person for various Gift Shops
in Wisconsin Dells. Raymond preceded his wife in death on
November 17, 1974
