James
Walter Pokszyk, age 51, of Adams, Wisconsin died Monday,
January 23, 2006 at his home in Adams, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January
26, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment
will be at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service on
Thursday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
James was born May 11, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to
Walter and Irene (Kirpluk) Pokszyk. The family moved to
Arkdale in 1956. He graduated from Adams-Friendship High
School in 1972. James went on to the school of electronics.
He married Dawn Elizabeth Herriot on June 21, 1975 in
Friendship, Wisconsin.
James worked for Gasser Construction of Wisconsin Dells.
James enjoyed NASCAR and racing. He formed James Gang
Racing with his sons and competed in snowmobile racing,
drags, ovals, and sno-cross competitions for 12 years. He
built a modified Kitty Cat that took multiple victories and
the point championship in 1996. James Gang Racing continued
it’s success and won a World Championship in Eagle River,
Wisconsin.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
