Steele was born May 13, 1920 in White Creek, Wisconsin. She
passed away Thursday, January 19 at 12:13 AM in Madison. She
died of heart failure. She was 85 years old. She grew up in
Adams and Wisconsin Dells. She was a homemaker and raised
eight children. She was married to William Richardson and
they had four children but their marriage ended in divorce.
She later married Eugene Steele and they had four children.
She loved her music; mostly polka and country western.
She had been living at Villa Pines Living Center for the
past four years and enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and
word search puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 2
brothers, 2 husbands and special friend Earl Fenner, one
son, Harry and 2 grandchildren, Billy Richardson and Kim
Walders.
She is survived by a son David (Gloria) Richardson of
Adams, daughters Sharon (John Waterbury) Walders of New
Lisbon, Shirley (Bernie) Bays of Friendship, Marilyn (Jim)
Berning of Wisconsin Dells, Gary (Jennifer) Steele of Big
Flats, Cindy Steele of Eau Claire and Albert Steele of
Madison. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great
grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 21 from 1:00 PM to
time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Officiating will be Father James P. McNamee.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great
grandmother.
