She was born in Platteville, WI on Nov. 2, 1933 to Ernest and Dorothy Floerke. She graduated from Platteville High School in 1951 and moved to Madison where she was employed as a secretary at the Ray-O-Vac Company for 5 years. She was united in marriage to Rod Docken on October 22, 1953. In later years she was a tax preparer at H&R Block Co. in Madison. Marie and Rod moved to Florida in 1982 and lived there until 2001 when Marie was moved to the nursing home.

Marie loved her family and friends and got so much enjoyment in hosting memorable events and dinners in her home. Her kitchen was her castle.

She is survived by her husband, Rod, son Brian (Mia) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, daughter Leis of Sauk Prairie (Dave Fosshage) and two granddaughters, Jennifer Docken of Ft. Lauderdale, and Shannon Stowell of Sauk Prairie.

She is also survived by her brother Ernie (Marcie) Floerke of Plain, Wisconsin, her sister Arlene Conkey of Platteville, her brother Bob (Mary Ann) of Platteville, and sister Karen (Arlen) Lewis of Shawano, Wisconsin, and her sister-in-law Connie Garfoot of Hillsboro, Wisconsin. Also several nieces and nephews.

Her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
