Betty Lou Larson, age 74, of
Friendship, Wisconsin died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at home
surrounded by her family following a long courageous battle
with cancer.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on
Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. The Rev. T. Christian Nelson will
officiate. Cremation will follow the traditional service
with final interment at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship,
Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 12 Noon until the time of service on
Saturday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Betty was born March 8, 1932 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin to
Vernon T. and Regina A. (Rietz) Jensen. She graduated from
New Lisbon High School in 1950 and the Juneau County
Teacher’s Normal in 1952. She married Kenneth Larson on
August 16, 1952 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. This marriage was
blessed with six children. Betty worked over 30 years for
the Adams-Friendship School District.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, doing
puzzles, reading, and supporting the Green Bay Packers and
Milwaukee Brewers.
Betty was a member of the Adams VFW Ladies Auxiliary
#6279.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, four
brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and her father-in-law
and mother-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are
appreciated.
