 Charles
R. Stephens, age 70, of Dellwood, Wisconsin peacefully and
bravely passed away on Monday, July 17, 2006.
Charles was born August 22, 1935 in Beloit, Wisconsin and
raised in Brodhead. He was the son of Roy and Fern (Ties)
Stephens. He graduated from Brodhead High School in 1953,
and Carroll College, Waukesha, in 1957. Charles married the
former Carol Sue Lane on January 16, 1959 in Rockford,
Illinois.
She preceded him in death on June 15, 1974. He worked at
IBM for over 30 years and retired in 1991 to his home on
Castle Rock Lake in Dellwood.
He is survived by his son, Mark Stephens of Brooklyn, WI,
two daughters, Tamara Stephens of Boscobel, WI and Stephanie
Barganz-Parr of Lodi, WI and 4
Grandchildren; Cain, Reid, Draesen and Chase. He was
preceded in death by both his parents and his sister Nancy
Rae. Charlie loved family, his friends and his peaceful
cabin on the lake.
Charlie retained his sense of humor and his courage through
out all his challenges.
A
gathering in his memory will be held at Splash, Dellwood, WI
from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006. There will be a
private service and committal services at the Quincy
Cemetery.
The
family would like to sincerely thank all his friends that
cared for him and brought him humor, love and support. In
