Diane A. Fretwell, age 69, of Madison (formerly of
Friendship), WI died June 28, 2006 at the University of
Wisconsin Hospital.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1,
2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of
service on Saturday at Roseberry's.
Diane was born May 15, 1937 in Friendship, to Edmond
Archie and Thea A. (Poppe) Roseberry. She was graduated from
Adams-Friendship High School. Diane worked for the
Nekoosa-Edwards Paper mill, her job had her relocate to
Buffalo, NY where she met her husband William
Fretwell. They were married on October 26, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri.
After their divorce Diane moved back to Adams, WI before
moving to Tulsa, OK to work with her Aunt Alvenne's in her
Dry Cleaning business. Diane moved to Madison, WI in
1989 where she worked for Noran as an accountant.
Diane enjoyed collecting stamps and beanie babies,
listening to blues and country music (Aretha Franklin, Kenny
Roger, and Dolly Parton being some of her favorites), crafts,
cooking, cross stitching, and spending time with her family.
Diane was especially fond of her cats, and was an early
computer enthusiast. She was an early member of
"q-link", now known as AOL, where she enjoyed meeting and
making friends online.
Diane was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American
Revolution).
Diane
was preceded in death by her parents.
