Matt
Klaus, age 64, of Adams, Wisconsin died Friday, June 9, 2006
at the Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
June 13, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. The Pastor Gary Olson will officiate. Interment
will be at a later date at the White Creek Cemetery, Town of
Easton, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Roseberry's
Funeral Home.
Matt was born October 16, 1941 in White Creek (Adams
County), Wisconsin to LaVere W. and Metta A. (Gustin) Klaus,
the first and only set of triplets born in Adams County. He
graduated from Adams-Friendship High and then joined the
Army, serving from 1961 to 1964 in Germany during the Berlin
Wall Crisis. Matt married Carol Olson on June 18, 1966 in
Adams, Wisconsin. He worked for Badger Ordnance, and the
Chicago Northwestern Railroad before working for the City of
Adams, where he retired in 2001.
Matt enjoyed hunting, bowling, fishing, woodworking,
gardening, and playing with his grandchildren.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents; wife (Carol);
brother (Kenneth Klaus); Sisters (Elaine Hall and Marie
Klaus); Father and Mother-in-law (Ralph and Clara Mae
Olson).
