Michael Leitenberger, age 68,
of Plover, Wisconsin died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at his
home.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June
12, 2006 at the New Life Assembly of God Church in
Plainfield, Wisconsin. Pastor Dan Winkelman will officiate.
Interment will be at the Hancock Cemetery, Hancock,
Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
Michael was born July 19, 1937 in Yugoslavia to Johann
and Eva (Heil) Leitenberger. He and his family moved to the
United States in May of 1956 to reunite with family members.
He married Elma Ann Droste on May 14, 1960 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Michael worked for Federal Marine Terminals as an overhead
crane operator in Chicago, IL. He and his family moved to
Coloma, Wisconsin in 1977. Michael recently moved to Plover,
Wisconsin to be close to his family.
Michael enjoyed gardening, birds, helping family,
friends, and neighbors fixing what ever was broke, and
spending time with his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Michael selflessly cared for his ailing wife Elma for
many years. He left an unforgettable impression on all those
who admired his commitment to her.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife
(Elma); brothers and sisters.
