Eugene LeRoy Murray, age 70,
of Friendship, Wisconsin died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the
Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
He will be cremated with private graveside services will
held at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery, Nekoosa,
Wisconsin.
Eugene was born September 25, 1935 in Town of Saratoga,
Wood County, Wisconsin to Arthur Donald and Rose Matilda
(Herms) Murray. He graduated from Nekoosa High School and
then served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961. Eugene then went
to Milwaukee, where he graduated from computer school. He
worked for the Equity Co-op in Baraboo before joining the
REA in Friendship in the early 1970’s. Eugene retired as the
Assistant General Manager of the Adams-Columbia Electrical
Co-op in 1992.
Eugene enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, trips to
the casino,
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and one
brother, Gerald.
