Lloyd "Skip" E. Starling Jr., age 69, of
Eagle Grove, Iowa died Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the Wright
County Medical Center in Clarion,
Iowa.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on
Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Todd Leininger will officiate.
Interment will be at the Big Flats Cemetery, Twp of Big
Flats, Adams County, Wisconsin. Military rites will be
offered at the graveside service by the Adams VFW Post
#6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and
the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the
time of service on Tuesday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Skip was born September 18, 1936 in
Springfield, Illinois to Lloyd and Martha (King) Starling
Sr. He moved, as a child with his family, to Milwaukee and
later to Adams County. Skip was a member of the Army from
1956 to 1957. He worked in Kenosha for 8 years before moving
back to Adams County. He married Mary Cavanaugh on June 23,
1962 in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Skip moved to Iowa in 2004.
Skip enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting wood,
making everyone laugh, dancing,
Skip was preceded in death by his parents,
Sister (Rose McGregor); two brothers (John and Frankie); and
one grandson (Justin).
