Mildred L. Banta-Scholten,
age 87, of DeKalb, Illinois (formerly of Adams, WI) died
March 17, 2006 at Pine Acres Nursing Home in DeKalb,
Illinois following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon on
Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose
Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. Visitation will be
11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at
Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Mildred was born January 31, 1919 in
Tamaroa, Illinois to Louie and Isabell (Rogers) Mumbower.
She married John Raymond Banta on January 25, 1952 in
Lincoln, Illinois. They made their home in Kankakee,
Illinois. They retired and moved to Adams, WI in 1977. Ray
preceded Mildred in death on April 8, 1990.
Mildred married Henry Scholten on November
17, 1990.
Mildred enjoyed being a homemaker, she
loved gardening, cooking, reading, and spending time with
her grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her
parents; Husbands (John R. Banta and Henry Scholten – Dec.
28, 2005); brother (James Mumbower); and nephew (Roger
Rohlfs).

Further survived by several step children,
relatives and friends.
