James Tumpach, age 82, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Monday, March 27, 2006 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

James was born August 5, 1923 in the Town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin to James and Josephine (Stepan) Tumpach. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy. James married Geraldine Virginia Dargo on July 3, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. The couple made their home in Chicago, where James owned the Prescott Reed Manufacturing Company. They returned to Adams County in 1990 and continued to work until the year 2000.

James enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, gardening, and above all else being married to his soul mate, Geraldine.

James was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Garaldine); and siblings.

Further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
