Eddie Stevens, age 84, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice-Care Center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. The Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Military rites will be offered by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.

Cremation will follow the traditional service. Final interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Town of Lincoln, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Eddie was born June 29, 1921 in Brooks, Wisconsin to Fred and Bird (Austin) Stevens. He married Luella Hutchinson on March 10, 1941 in Adams, Wisconsin. Eddie was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theater of War. Eddie worked as a tractor mechanic for most of his life. He also enjoyed farming.

Eddie enjoyed restoring Ford tractors, fishing, going for rides and watching the traffic go by, dancing, and going to auctions.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife (Luella); son (Larry); brothers (Otis, Carl, Milton, and Darrel) and sisters (Bessie, Lila, Lorraine; and Beatrice).

Daughter: Charlotte (Ronald) Gauthier of Friendship, Wisconsin

Son: Edwin (Gladys) Stevens of Almond, Wisconsin

Son: Richard (Janeane) Stevens of Adams, Wisconsin

Son: Billy (friend David) Stevens of Baraboo, Wisconsin

Sister: Betty (Dave) Cochrane of Adams, Wisconsin

Sister-in-law: Lulu Belle Stevens of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin

Dear Friend: Alice Schroeder and family of Adams, Wisconsin

Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
