Carole L. Engelrup, age 67 of Friendship, WI died at home
on November 8, 2006 following a very courageous battle with
cancer.
Carole was born on March 2, 1939 in Chicago, IL the only
child of the late Earle and Claire (Sanders) Constantine.
She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and was
employed at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove
Village, IL and retired in 1999 after which she lived full
time in Adams County.
Carole was a valued member of Trinity Congregational
Church in Adams where she sang in the choir and served as
treasurer for three years, the Castle Rock Lions Club where
she served as secretary for seven years, the Tuesday
afternoon Ladies� Bowling League, the Moundview Ladies�
Bridge Club, where she both played and taught bridge to
others. For the past five years, she very much enjoyed
spending Monday mornings at the Adams-Friendship Elementary
School where students of Mrs. Hovers second grade class
would read to her.
For many years, she golfed at the Moundview Country Club,
where in September 2003; she got a "hole in one"! Her
hobbies also included playing any game of cards that was
available, is known for her crocheting, knitting,
cross-stitching, water skiing, traveling and spending time
with family and friends.
Surviving are husband Wayne, son Jeffrey Plummer,
Temecula, CA, his children, Daughter Holly Plummer of Burke,
VA and son Zachary Plummer of Temecula, CA; son Robert Kelly
(Shannon) Plummer Sr., his children, son Anthony Jewell, son
Robert Kelly Plummer Jr., daughter Brittany Plummer, and one
great-grandson, Sean Cain all of Aliso Viejo, CA,
stepchildren, Kimberly (Steven) Huper, Wells, MN, Carmen
(Kevin) Moore-Meyer, Mankato, MN, Willayne (Patrick) McLean,
St. Peters, MN and step-grandmother to Matthew (Sara) Huper,
Mankato, MN, Joshua Huper and Megan Huper, Wells MN,
Jonathan Moore and Bradley Moore, Mankato, MN and Brandon
McLean, St. Peter, MN; sister-in-law, Johanna (Wayne)
Anderson of Park Ridge, IL
Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Stephen
William Plummer who was tragically killed in an automobile
accident at the age of 19, and her second husband, James
McIntyre who also died of cancer.
Memorial services followed by a luncheon will be held at
the Trinity Congregational Church, 148 N. Grant Street, in
Adams, WI at 12:30 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2006.
Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:30
PM.
Carole will be dearly missed by all those that came in
contact with her, she was a dear friend to a great number of
people.
